Integrating Drupal's Ubercart with Intuit's Quickbooks makes managing online orders painless.

There are a number of things I'd rather do than manually process orders from my online store. I would rather occupy my time with business strategy, dreaming up new ideas, basically all the fun stuff. God did not endow me with the gift of accounting, so the prospect of recording every order by hand is about as appealing to me as gouging out my spleen with a dull spoon. I hate bookkeeping.

At first, running your online store is easy. A few orders come in and you leisurely record them into your accounting system, print the labels, arrange for pickup, and then sit down with a mai tai while dreaming of your burgeoning online empire. But after a while, when your business grows to receiving hundreds of orders a week (or a day), the amount of bookkeeping grows right along with it. Before long, you are dreaming less and drinking fewer cocktails. Now, your entire day is consumed with bookkeeping and order fulfillment. No more fun, just work. Dull, boring, repetitive work.

Our goal is to enhance website performance

Our priority, at Astonish Designs, is to help your business become smarter. We're big advocates of automation and reducing your workload by letting computers do what they do best: automatically and repetitively performing the same task. To resolve your e-commerce accounting woes, we have a couple of powerful tools in our chest. The first is world class e-commerce system, Ubercart. And the second is the Webgility ECC QuickBooks integration utility, which connects your online store with your QuickBooks file.

The beauty of ECC is the fast and efficient workflow it provides. After configuring ECC, you'll gain some amazing benefits with just a click of the mouse:

It will download all order records from your store

Because it integrates with UPS World Ship and USPS, fulfillment is painless. You can print shipping labels from within ECC. Oh, and it will email your customer their tracking number too.

Once an order is fulfilled, ECC will post the completion status back to your store. No more manually synchronizing your records.

Of course, the whole transaction is automatically inserted into quickbooks.

It also won't break your bank. A single license will run about $300. But what if you are running multiple stores? The license fees can definitely add up, which is why we recommend leveraging Drupal's multi-site capabilities. You can make one website appear to be multiple websites (with completely different themes and configurtion), but with a single store on the back end. Two stores, but only one ECC license.

So get back to your empire building and leave the menial drudgery to your computer.
